Meet Our Elders

Scott Jarrow

ELDER CHAIRMAN

My wife Leslie and I retired and moved to Idaho from the Washington DC area in 2018. We have lived more than half our married life overseas in the Far East and in Europe, where I worked first in the military and later as a defense contractor. Prior to moving to the Washington DC area, we spent 14 years in Germany, where we were heavily involved with Protestant Chapel on military posts. We have two married adult children and two grandchildren.

At Lakeview Bible Church, Leslie is involved with the Women’s Ministry and leading Ladies Life Group. I have been involved with Servant Hands and leading Men’s Life Group for the last couple of years.

We desire to grow where God has planted us and to serve Him at LBC in the coming years (Eph 4:12)!

ELDER

My wife and I are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship. We have spent 15 years in Papua New Guinea as a pilot/mechanic family, serving with MAF-Australia, prior to moving to MAF headquarters in Nampa, Idaho, in 2010.

I am the son of a pastor and missionary, was born and raised in Papua New Guinea. The example of my parents’ lives and faith helped me mature and commit my life to the Lord while in high school. My family was on the receiving end of MAF’s service and, as a result, was keenly aware of the impact that mission aviation had for them and for building God’s Kingdom.

God has given me a love for learning and teaching, I am a certified A&P aviation maintenance technician.  I also hold a pilot certifications that include an ATP rating, CFII ratings, and SES. I have spent significant time conducting training and orientation for MAF pilots. This role of Instructor Pilot is a perfect fit for me! As one of the five flight instructors in the training department, I evaluate pilots who want to join MAF, train new pilots, and travel around the world checking experienced pilots on the field. We consider it a privilege to equip MAF pilots to fly professionally and safely and to do well in their overseas service. We are excited about the unique ministry they have equipping, mentoring and praying for pilots and their families as they prepare for working on the mission field. They frequently welcome new staff in their home for meals and fellowship.

Carol was born and raised in Grove City, Ohio. It wasn’t until she met me in the church choir that she began to understand a bit more about missions. Carol has a deep passion for reading and studying God’s word. We got married in 1987. We have three children and eight grandchildren. Grant and Grace were both married in 2010 and live in Texas and Idaho respectively. Their youngest, Claire, is now attending college.

God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in the Imbrocks’ ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF CARE & CONNECTION AND ADULT MINISTRIES

Hello, Lakeview Bible Church! I have been asked to tell you a little about myself. I was born on January 7, 1964, in Tacoma, Washington, the 7th and last child in a mixed family. I attended Tacoma Baptist School, where I accepted Christ in kindergarten at a chapel service where a Gospel magician and ventriloquist was the guest speaker. At age 7, I was baptized. I felt called to be a pastor when I was 8, and this was reaffirmed at church camp when I was 14. I ministered in various capacities as a volunteer for many years, including as a youth minister, worship leader, college group leader, Sunday school and AWANA, etc. I moved to Idaho in 1989 and married Kristi (who was raised in Star) on September 7, 1991. In 2005 I was asked to be the part-time lead pastor at Christian Life Fellowship Boise (where we had been attending for 11 years), and in 2010 I was moved to full-time.

Kristi and I had been unable to conceive or adopt, and we assumed God’s plan was for us to be childless. But then, in June of 2011 (nearly 20 years into our marriage), I received an email regarding a young local woman who had gone to get an abortion but was turned away because she was too far along under Idaho law. She was looking for someone who would be willing to adopt her soon-to-be-born son. Kristi and I were thrilled to offer to be the child’s parents. Our son, Josiah Scott Guinn, was born on October 12, 2011, at West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell. The hospital gave us a room just down the hall from the birthmother. Josiah spent his first night in our room and we took him home the next day. The adoption was finalized on December 15, 2011.

I love God, God’s Word, and God’s people, and I am excited about ministering to His flock at Lakeview.

In HIM

Jason Anderson

ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRIES

It is a great blessing for our family and I to be here to minister to teens and their families in the Treasure Valley and at Lakeview Bible church. My passion is to make disciples of Jesus. I grew up in Northwest Arkansas, went to College of the Ozarks in Branson, MO and graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary. The Lord brought our family to Lakeview Bible in September of 2017. We feel tremendously blessed that the Lord chose to call us here to serve with our brothers and sisters in Christ at Lakeview Bible Church.

I met my beautiful wife Billye in Southern Louisiana. She is a tremendous mother, wife, and ministry leader in our youth ministry. Billye will typically be serving right by my side in planning and preparing for events.  We have been blessed with two amazing children, Camden and Kinsley.

When I am not serving in youth ministry, I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, basketball, playing guitar, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy getting out of the office and playing a little disc golf from time to time. I would love to sit down and talk with you if you have any questions about our youth ministry here at Lakeview Bible Church.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF CHILDREN MINISTRIES

My family and I moved to Idaho from Texas in the fall of 2017. We have fallen in love with Idaho and Idahoans. It is a great joy to serve here at Lakeview. I graduated with a Master’s degree in ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary and have been involved in children’s ministry since 2005. I have been married to my beautiful bride, Jala, for over fifteen years. We have two children, Aiden and McKenna. Jala, and I both have a passion to see children grow in their relationship with the Lord and have served together in ministry since before we were married.

My heart is to see kids reached with the Gospel, grow in their faith, and to minister to parents in raising their children. To this end, we reach out to our schools with after school clubs, providing for the physical needs of families, and doing several events that reach out to children and families. Similarly, in the church, I seek to provide a dynamic, Bible based children’s ministry where kids and families are excited to come.

Outside of ministry, I love the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, and camping with my family. When I’m not toasting a marshmallow around a camp fire, you can usually find me in my garden.
