Meet Our Elders
Scott Jarrow
ELDER
My wife Leslie and I retired and moved to Idaho from the Washington DC area in 2018. We have lived more than half our married life overseas in the Far East and in Europe, where I worked first in the military and later as a defense contractor. Prior to moving to the Washington DC area, we spent 14 years in Germany, where we were heavily involved with Protestant Chapel on military posts. We have two married adult children and two grandchildren.
At Lakeview Bible Church, Leslie is involved with the Women’s Ministry and leading Ladies Life Group. I have been involved with Servant Hands and leading Men’s Life Group for the last couple of years.
We desire to grow where God has planted us and to serve Him at LBC in the coming years (Eph 4:12)!

Mike Miller
ELDER
My wife and I are both Idaho born and raised. We were high school sweethearts and have been married for 26 years. God has blessed us with 3 beautiful children, our oldest of whom is married and has given us our first grandchild. Our second oldest is engaged and we are excited to see what God has planned for his life. Our youngest is in 7th grade at Nampa Christian Middle School.
I have been part of Lakeview Bible Church my entire life. My dad has served on the elder board previously and I consider it an honor to serve the Lord while following in his footsteps. My hearts desire is to follow Gods plan for my life and to be a Godly example to my family and those around me. I look forward to serving together at Lakeview and seeing what God has planned for the future of our church.

As a young boy I accepted Jesus, was baptized and became a church member. Because of this history, I have had the privilege to serve in various positions including usher, Sunday school teacher, trustee and currently as elder.

Scott F. Guinn
PASTOR OF CARE AND ADULT MINISTRIES
I was born on January 7, 1964, in Tacoma, Washington, the 7th and last child in a mixed family. I attended Tacoma Baptist School, where I accepted Christ in kindergarten at a chapel service where a Gospel magician and ventriloquist was the guest speaker. At age 7, I was baptized. I felt called to be a pastor when I was 8, and this was reaffirmed at church camp when I was 14. I ministered in various capacities as a volunteer for many years, including as a youth minister, worship leader, college group leader, Sunday school and AWANA, etc. I moved to Idaho in 1989 and married Kristi (who was raised in Star) on September 7, 1991. In 2005 I was asked to be the part-time lead pastor at Christian Life Fellowship Boise (where we had been attending for 11 years), and in 2010 I was moved to full-time.
Kristi and I had been unable to conceive or adopt, and we assumed God’s plan was for us to be childless. But then, in June of 2011 (nearly 20 years into our marriage), I received an email regarding a young local woman who had gone to get an abortion but was turned away because she was too far along under Idaho law. She was looking for someone who would be willing to adopt her soon-to-be-born son. Kristi and I were thrilled to offer to be the child’s parents. Our son, Josiah Scott Guinn, was born on October 12, 2011, at West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell. The hospital gave us a room just down the hall from the birthmother. Josiah spent his first night in our room and we took him home the next day. The adoption was finalized on December 15, 2011.
I love God, God’s Word, and God’s people, and I am excited about ministering to His flock at Lakeview.
