Meet our Deacons

Dennis Freeman

DEACON CHAIRMAN

God has truly blessed me with my wife, Sylvia which we celebrated our 50th anniversary in
2021. Along with 2 children and 11 grand children. In 1964 at a Summer Church Camp I accepted the Lord as my Savior. After graduation from high school, I joined the Army Reserve. In 1969 I met my wife, Sylvia in college and began attending church together and began growing in the Lord. In 1985 I was ordained as a Deacon in a small Baptist church in Stockton, California. I worked for Pacific Gas & Electric for 34 years in various roles but spent many years as a computer analyst. 2007 we moved from Lodi, California to Nampa, Idaho and worked at HP for 5 years as a computer analyst providing support for the Army & Marines. 2009 We came to Lakeview Bible and has been our church home ever since. We have faithfully attended and served here ever since. About 2010 we began the Empty Nesters Group, joined Home Life Groups, Servant’s Hands and enjoyed sharing in the fellowship opportunities here at Lakeview Bible.

I have been a Deacon since March 2021.

Ken Longden

DEACON

My wife Kate and I moved from Australia to the USA for work, with our 2 little girls, in August 1997. What was meant to be an adventure of no more than 10 years turned permanent in September 2010 when we all became US citizens.

Prior to my retirement in March 2017 I was involved in computer programming for almost 40 years. After much prayer and consideration Kate and I moved to Nampa from northern California in August 2020. We came to Lakeview Bible Church in December of that year and became members a few months later.

I have always found it to be a blessing to serve in church in whatever capacity I could and was pleased to accept the position of Deacon in 2020.

Jerry Durante

DEACON

I grew up in the Bronx in New York and I joined the USAF at 17 years old in 1963 and served until June of 1968. I was stationed at Mt. Home Air Force base when I met my wife, Sherry. We’ve been happily married for 54 years. We got married on Valentine’s Day in 1967. We have 3 adult children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

I grew up in the Catholic church and it wasn’t until I was 45 years old when I found the true gospel and gave my life to Jesus. I have been a member of Lakeview Bible Church for the last 5 years. I am currently serving as an usher, greeter, and the deacon board. I look forward to serve in Christ through the church body.

Micah Good

DEACON

My name is Micah Good. By God’s grace I was saved as a young boy and grew up attending Lakeview Bible Church. I met my wife Jennifer in youth group and we are now blessed with three boys, Daniel, Benjamin and Judah.

We farm near the small town of Murphy. I enjoy working and spending time with my family on the farm, hunting, riding dirt bikes and just being in God’s great outdoors. I have served in various ways at Lakeview over the years and look forward to serving as a Deacon.

Ryan Kolodziej

DEACON

I started attending Lakeview Bible Church in 2012 with my wife Denise. We attended classes and worship services for a while then became members of this body of believers.

I taught an adult class on Sundays for a several years. Then asked to train and lead an in-depth study on the weekly sermon. As the in-depth sermon study was phased out my small group evolved into a study group of the Bible, related books, and video courses lasting until Covid19 shut down.

I accepted the position of Deacon in 2015 to assist the Elders for the care of our church body. This included home and hospital visits, calls to visitors, and administering of Care/Share fund for member requests. I was the Deacon Chairman from 2021 – 2023.

Alan Lindvall

DEACON

I grew up in El Salvador, Central America, where my parents were missionaries. I accepted Jesus as my Savior while a youngster, and developed an interest in mission aviation during high school. I earned a B.A degree in History at San Jose State College before joining the U.S. Air Force, where I served five years, flying jet transports worldwide. Later, to better serve with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), I earned my Aircraft Mechanic’s (A&P) license. I was also a commercial pilot with an instrument flight instructor, and an airline transport pilot rating.

I served with MAF in Honduras, Guatemala, Ecuador, and finally at MAF’s headquarters in Nampa, ID. While overseas I had helped provide transportation for missionaries, evangelists, doctors, and relief workers. The joy of flying, and a desire to help hurting people hear of God’s love, took me on more than 15,000 MAF flights. My wife Renee and I finished 32 years by serving as hosts at MAF’s guest housing here in Nampa. We welcomed and encouraged MAF families who were coming and going to cross-cultural ministry. We have been blessed to be part of the Lakeview Bible Church family during our time in Nampa.
